Insurance terms

Terms of the parking contract of Parking Crociera Savona.

These terms govern parking at the car park of Parking Crociera Savona (hereinafter the “lessor”), at Savona, for anyone boarding at Porto di Savona Crociere. Booking and handing over the vehicle imply full acceptance of this text.

Last updated: 9 September 2026.

1. Subject and limits of the service

The lessor makes available an open-air car park 7 minutes from the terminal, Savona, and the free return shuttle every 10 minutes to Porto di Savona Crociere, 24/7, subject to availability.

The lessor assumes no liability for damage caused by weather events, hail, flooding, falling branches, sand, salt, bird droppings and similar occurrences, nor for wear, defects of the vehicle or pre-existing damage.

2. Rate, period and shuttle

The space is provided for a fee. The rate is daily and depends on the vehicle type and the parking period stated in the booking (drop-off and collection). One day is 24 hours or part thereof, minimum 1 day. The price is that shown in the quote on the site.

The rate includes only the making available of the space, collection and return of the vehicle and the free return shuttle every 10 minutes. No other service (washing, charging, custody of items, mechanic, spare fuel, etc.) is deemed included or offered.

If, for any reason (voluntary or forced interruption of the cruise or otherwise), the customer collects the vehicle before the scheduled date, return takes place with no extra charge but nothing is refunded for unused parking days.

3. Damage cover and claims

The lessor is liable for damage arising from collision, impact, fire and theft from the moment of collection by our attendant until return to the customer, subject to the conditions in the following clauses.

Claims must be made at the time of return, with the original numbered parking document (receipt / “Parking service” ticket). Failing this, any right to compensation lapses.

4. Items on board

The contract concerns custody of the vehicle only. The customer undertakes not to leave valuables in the vehicle (cash, jewellery, electronics, documents, valuable luggage). No compensation is due for theft or damage of items left on board.

5. Theft of the vehicle

In the event of theft of the vehicle the lessor is liable only if the vehicle does not already enjoy insurance cover for that event. To that end the lessor may request:

  1. production of the original of the policies relating to the stolen vehicle;
  2. a declaration signed by the company/companies that insure the same vehicle for other risks, attesting to the absence of cover for theft.

6. Acts of vandalism

In the event of vandalism to vehicles parked the lessor is liable only if the vehicle does not already enjoy insurance cover for that event. To that end the lessor may request:

  1. production of the original of the policies relating to the damaged vehicle;
  2. a declaration signed by the company/companies that insure the same vehicle for other risks, attesting to the absence of cover for vandalism.

7. Damage by other customers

The lessor is not liable for damage caused to parked vehicles by other customers’ cars, unless the vehicle that caused the incident is not covered by a suitable motor third-party liability policy.

8. Claims and data

The lessor, as operator of the parking activity, may report to any interested party (insurer, authority, counterpart) the information useful for reporting and settling a claim, without this constituting a breach of privacy. For the remainder of the data, reference is made to the privacy notice.

9. Acceptance

Booking the space requires acceptance of these terms. Handing the vehicle over to the lessor’s staff presupposes that they have been accepted in full, without reservation. In the event of conflict between the online quote and these terms, the latter prevail as regards liability, refunds and limits of cover.
