Purpose of this notice

This document describes how the website is managed with regard to the processing of personal data of users who consult it.

It is a notice given pursuant to Art. 13 of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (Personal Data Protection Code, as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018) and the GDPR, Regulation (EU) 679/2016, to those who interact with the web services of Parking Crociera Savona, accessible electronically from this site.

The notice is given only for this site and for processing carried out by Parking Crociera Savona. It does not cover other sites that may be reached via links.

The notice is also inspired by Recommendation 2/2001, which the European data-protection authorities, meeting in the Working Party set up by Art. 29 of Directive 95/46/EC, adopted on 17 May 2001 to identify certain minimum requirements for the collection of personal data online and, in particular, the methods, timing and nature of the information that controllers must provide to users when they connect to web pages, regardless of the purpose of the connection.

The data “controller”

Following consultation of this site, data relating to identified or identifiable persons may be processed.

The data controller is Parking Crociera Savona, with operational headquarters and car park at Savona, Italy.

Controller contact details: info@parking-crociere-savona.it · 3429053119

Processors

Parking Crociera Savona uses technical suppliers (website hosting, maintenance of technological components, any sending of emails) appointed, where required, as processors under Art. 28 GDPR, bound by written instructions and confidentiality obligations.

Administrative and operational staff assigned to the service (bookings, reception, shuttle) process data under the authority of the controller. A Data Protection Officer (DPO) has not been appointed because the obligations in Art. 37 GDPR do not apply; every request should be addressed to the controller.

Place of processing

Processing connected with the web services takes place in Italy, in relation to the premises at Savona, and at the hosting provider’s data centres in the European Union. It is carried out by staff authorised to process the data and, where necessary, by staff of the company that maintains the technological part of the site, in accordance with privacy law.

If the user accepts statistics and marketing cookies, some browsing data may be processed by extra-EU providers under standard contractual clauses and the other GDPR safeguards. Data are not sold to third parties.

Types of data processed

Browsing data

The computer systems and software procedures used to operate the site acquire, in the course of their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols.

This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified data subjects, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified.

This category includes IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the site, URI addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and IT environment.

These data may be used solely to obtain anonymous statistical information on use of the site, to check that it is functioning correctly and to ascertain liability in the event of hypothetical computer crimes against the site. After technical processing, routine logs are kept for the time strictly necessary for the security of the service.

Data provided voluntarily by the user

Sending a request via the booking form or by email to the addresses indicated on the site entails acquisition of the data needed to fulfil the request. In particular:

  • first name, surname and contact details (email, telephone);
  • vehicle details and number plate;
  • travel details useful for parking and the shuttle (drop-off and collection dates and times, any ship name and notes);
  • vehicle type, calculated rate and outcome of the request (accepted or car park full).

The optional, explicit and voluntary sending of email to the addresses indicated on the site entails the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s address, which is needed in order to reply, as well as any other personal data included in the message.

No special-category information is collected (ethnic origin, political opinions, health, etc.), nor is the user asked to enter it in the notes. The information in our possession is that which the user provides and that which is strictly technical to browsing.

Data entered in the form (name, contact details, number plate, dates, notes and calculated rate) are used solely for analysis and handling of the parking request. They are not distributed, transferred or disclosed to third parties. They are destroyed within 14 days of receipt, except where a legal obligation or ongoing dispute requires otherwise.

Cookies

The site uses technical cookies necessary for it to function (session, form security, banner preference, language). Statistics and marketing cookies, where provided, are activated only with the consent given via the banner. The Accept / Reject choice is described in the cookie policy, which forms an integral part of this notice.

Optional nature of providing data

Apart from what is specified for browsing data, the user is free to provide Parking Crociera Savona with the personal data set out in the request form or otherwise indicated in the contacts.

Failure to provide them (name, contact details, parking dates) may result in the impossibility of obtaining what is requested (quote and booking). Refusing non-essential cookies does not prevent consultation of the site or sending a parking request.

Purposes and legal bases

  • performance of pre-contractual measures and of the parking contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR): quote, confirmation, reception, shuttle every 10 minutes, collection and return of the vehicle;
  • legal obligations (Art. 6.1.c): tax, accounting, authorities, claims;
  • legitimate interest (Art. 6.1.f): security, prevention of abuse, service improvement, defence in legal proceedings;
  • consent (Art. 6.1.a): statistics and marketing cookies, withdrawable at any time.

For damage, theft and complaints, reference is made to the insurance terms. In that context data may be disclosed to insurers, loss adjusters and authorities, without this constituting unlawful use.

Processing methods

Personal data are processed by automated means and, where necessary, on paper, for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which they were collected. Booking-form data are destroyed within 14 days of receipt. Any records with tax relevance, if generated on site, follow legal obligations (as a rule up to 10 years, except in the event of litigation).

Specific security measures are observed to prevent data loss, unlawful or incorrect use and unauthorised access (protected session, CSRF, restricted access to the administrative area, hosting with industry-standard measures).

There is also a right to request the blocking of data processed in breach of the law and to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).
